Practise PTE Repeat Sentence with a useful recall loop
Listen for the frame, not isolated words
Repeat Sentence combines listening and speaking. A sentence often has a short frame that carries its meaning: who did what, when, and under what condition. Listen for that structure while noticing content words such as names, actions and places. Trying to memorize every sound as a separate item can make the sentence feel longer. After playback, start promptly and preserve the word order you heard. Clear, steady speech is more useful than rushing to fit a guess.
Use replay differently in practice and in a test
This practice page uses your browser's English speech synthesis to play three original prompts. The generated voice can sound different from a test recording, and your device needs audio enabled. In practice, you can replay a prompt to study its rhythm and notice a missed article, preposition or ending. For a more realistic first attempt, listen once, record your response, and only replay after you have finished. The recording stays in the page's recorder control; no score is inferred from the audio.
Record, replay and choose one repair target
After recording, replay your response and compare the sentence in chunks. Did you keep the opening phrase? Did the middle words stay in order? Did you include the final detail? Choose one repair target for the next prompt, such as small function words, plural endings or sentence-final words. Do not try to fix every feature at once. This short set is useful for a warm-up, while a question bank is better for a sustained routine and question-specific history.
When AI scoring helps
Self-review can reveal omissions and order changes, but it cannot reliably assess pronunciation and fluency. For AI feedback, continue to the signed-in Repeat Sentence question bank.
